Month's Question
How do the Bach Flower Essences in the Healing Combinations Work?
To
explain how Bach Flower Essences work, we will need to get a little
technical. In Quantum Physics, we learn that everything is energy and
that everything has a specific vibrational rate. When something is out
of balance with the universe, there is an energetic response to that
imbalance. On a more physical level, when something is out of balance
in our mental-emotional-spiritual being, we manifest a physical
response to it. For example, when you overwork yourself the result is
often a cold or flu. It is your bodies way of forcing you to rest.
Bach Flower Essences work at the quantum level to repair the energetic
imbalance by providing energy that is vibrating at a higher rate, a
rate closer to your natural vibrational rate. This energy, we call it
"positive" (meaning good) energy, floods out the energy of your
imbalance (we call this negative or bad energy). When the root problem
has been addressed, the outward symptom will disappear.

Do you love a good book? I do.
I love curling up with a good book just before I go to bed, or on cool
days in front of the fire. Some of my favorite authors include Tracy
Chevalier and Catherine Ponder.
Recently, my husband read a book and convinced me I needed to read it.
I loved it! What's the book? Mr. Everit's
Secret by Alan Cohen. It's short, funny and delightfully
inspiring. I highly recommend it!

Bach Flowers and Weight Loss
Weight
Loss is an epidemic in this country. This year alone, roughly $125
Billion dollars will be spent in attempts to lose weight. About 40% of
Americans are classified as obese, which reflects a rise by 50% in the
last 10 years. Many are that way as a result of a medical condition
such as Hypothyroidism or Diabetes.
Weight
loss centers such as Jenny Craig® and WeightWatchers®, gyms such as
24-Hour Fitness and Golds, as well as many medical professionals have
capitalized on the epidemic. Look in any newspaper or magazine and
you're sure to find ads for one or more weight loss products or
services. And, provided that you have the discipline, they all will
work.
That's
where Bach Flowers come in. Your motivation, your ability to go the
extra mile, to keep exercising and to stick to the diet is almost
entirely dictated by your mood. If you feel depressed, down, like
things are taking too much time, like your diet or exercise is not
working, then you are likely to "fall off the wagon."
To help
you resolve these issues, there are three Bach Flowers you can take:
- Crab Apple to help you accept
your physical imperfections and feel better about the way you are
- Clematis to help you live
more actively in the present
- Larch for self-esteem and
confidence
To order
a combination with these three Bach Flowers, simply goto www.healingcombinations.com/essences
and select Crab Apple, Clematis
and Larch from the list of essences. You might take
a look at the descriptions to determine if any of the others fit you as
well. When you're done, simply click "Next" and
verify your combination, then add it to your cart. Once you've received
your combination, add it to an eight-ounce bottle of water and sip it
throughout the day. Add in your exercise and a healthy diet and you are
on your way to being the slim, trim you that you want to be.
Need some
more help? Visit my good friends Russ and Dee Dee Miller at their
website www.deedeemiller.myarbonne.com.
Arbonne has a complete line of vegan weight loss
products that not only work, but taste great. Russ was telling me the
other day that after they put the boys to bed, he and the girls would
sit down with a bowl of ice cream and some popcorn in front of a movie.
After a few weeks of that, he discovered that his pants had shrunk.
Now, instead of the ice cream and popcorn, he chews on a couple of the
Arbonne weight loss treats and has found that his pants aren't so snug
any more. Make sure to tell Russ that I sent you so he'll take good
care of you.

Depression
In any given 1-year period, 9.5 percent of the
population, or about 20.9 million American adults, suffer from a
depressive illness. The economic cost for this disorder is high, but
the cost in human suffering cannot be estimated. Depressive illnesses
often interfere with normal functioning and cause pain and suffering
not only to those who have a disorder, but also to those who care about
them. Serious depression can destroy family life as well as the life of
the ill person. But much of this suffering is unnecessary.
Most people with a depressive illness do not seek
treatment, although the great majority even those whose depression is
extremely severe can be helped. Unfortunately, many people do not
recognize that depression is a treatable illness. If you feel that you
or someone you care about is one of the many undiagnosed depressed
people in this country, the information presented here may help you
take the steps that may save your own or someone else's life.
What is a depressive disorder?
A depressive disorder is an illness that involves
the body, mood, and thoughts. It affects the way a person eats and
sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about
things. A depressive disorder is not the same as a passing blue mood.
It is not a sign of personal weakness or a condition that can be willed
or wished away. People with a depressive illness cannot merely "pull
themselves together" and get better. Without treatment, symptoms can
last for weeks, months, or years. Appropriate treatment, however, can
help most people who suffer from depression.
TYPES OF DEPRESSION
Depressive disorders come in different forms, just
as is the case with other illnesses such as heart disease. This
newsletter briefly describes three of the most common types of
depressive disorders. However, within these types there are variations
in the number of symptoms, their severity, and persistence.
Major depression is manifested
by a combination of symptoms that interfere with the ability to work,
study, sleep, eat, and enjoy once pleasurable activities. Such a
disabling episode of depression may occur only once but more commonly
occurs several times in a lifetime.
A less severe type of depression, dysthymia,
involves long-term, chronic symptoms that do not disable, but keep one
from functioning well or from feeling good. Many people with dysthymia
also experience major depressive episodes at some time in their lives.
Another type of depression is bipolar
disorder, also called manic-depressive illness. Not nearly as
prevalent as other forms of depressive disorders, bipolar disorder is
characterized by cycling mood changes: severe highs (mania) and lows
(depression). Sometimes the mood switches are dramatic and rapid, but
most often they are gradual. When in the depressed cycle, an individual
can have any or all of the symptoms of a depressive disorder. When in
the manic cycle, the individual may be overactive, overtalkative, and
have a great deal of energy. Mania often affects thinking, judgment,
and social behavior in ways that cause serious problems and
embarrassment. For example, the individual in a manic phase may feel
elated, full of grand schemes that might range from unwise business
decisions to romantic sprees. Mania, left untreated, may worsen to a
psychotic state.
TREATMENT
Treatment choice will depend on the outcome of an
evaluation. There are a variety of antidepressant medications and
psychotherapies that can be used to treat depressive disorders. Some
people with milder forms may do well with psychotherapy alone. People
with moderate to severe depression most often benefit from
antidepressants. Most do best with combined treatment: medication to
gain relatively quick symptom relief and psychotherapy to learn more
effective ways to deal with life's problems, including depression.
Depending on the patient's diagnosis and severity of symptoms, the
therapist may prescribe medication and/or one of the several forms of
psychotherapy that have proven effective for depression.
Of course, instead of anti-depressants, we
recommend Healing
Combinations for Depression, an all natural, side-effect free
solution that has fantastic results. This combination can be used in
conjunction with therapy to produce fantastic and rapid results, or
taken alone. In addition, customers generally only need to take the
combination for a month or two.
Side-Effects
Antidepressants may cause mild and, usually,
temporary side effects (sometimes referred to as adverse effects) in
some people. Typically these are annoying, but not serious. However,
any unusual reactions or side effects or those that interfere with
functioning should be reported to the doctor immediately. The most
common side effects of tricyclic antidepressants are:
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
- Bladder problems
- Sexual problems
- Blurred vision
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
The newer antidepressants have different types of side effects:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Nervousness and insomnia
- Agitation (feeling jittery)
- Sexual problems
Remember, Healing
Combinations for Depression has no side-effects.
It is a safe, effective, doctor developed, tested and recommended

Bach Flower Focus: Crab Apple
The apple
has strong mythological and spiritual associations with Paradise ...
and of being cast out of Paradise. This is true of the person needing
Crab Apple, the person who has difficulty accepting physical
imperfections. This may manifest itself as rejection or disgust, and at
its deepest level, a feeling of shame for the physical body and its
imperfections. In fact, these individuals tend to be obsessed with
impurities, real or imagined.
The feelings of rejection or disgust are often projected into the
environment creating an aversion to anything dirty or impure. As you
might guess, the "Crab Apple" personality is prone to allergies and
phychosomatic illness.
Crab Apple is also for any activity of purification, such as fasting or
cleansing.
Crab Apple is one of the ingredients in Hashimoto's Thyroiditis,
Hypothyroidism,
and Low Libido
to help with feelings of irritability and self-hatred that are often
associated with these disorders.
